Calcium chloride is an inorganic chloride compound that appears as a white to off-white solid. It is composed of calcium and chlorine ions, forming an ionic compound.

It is hygroscopic in nature. It is available in the form of flakes, granules, or pellets. The texture can range from fine, dry powder to coarse, solid granules, depending on the grade and intended use. Calcium chloride is available in different concentration from 77 to 94%. Higher absorption capacity means higher the concentrations.

Applications

Waste Water Treatment It acts as a coagulant and flocculant, helping to clump together suspended particles, making them easier to filter out.
