Ferrous Gluconate

It is greenish-yellow or grey powder or granules. The solution of ferrous gluconate can be greenish-brown, and its color can vary depending on the pH.

It has a slight smell like burnt sugar. It is used as an iron supplement. Its chemical name is Iron (II) gluconate. It consists of ferrous (Fe²⁺) iron, combined with gluconic acid, and is valued for its relatively mild taste, good solubility, and bioavailability when compared to other iron salts.
