Polyamido amines are manufactured from the reaction of higher ethylene amine with a fatty acid, such as Tall Oil Fatty acid. Poly amidoamines are basically mono-adducts of polyamine with TOFA and having higher molecular weight than polyamine and therefore longer reaction rate but Polyamidess are bi-adducts with even bigger molecular weights and thus, reflect higher viscosity and longer pot life.
