Food Industry ● It serves as preservatives.
● It provides a source of potassium, an essential mineral, to food products.

Pharmaceutical Industry ● Crucial component of intravenous (IV) fluids, providing essential electrolytes for hydration and electrolyte balance during medical treatments.
● For use as an electrolyte replenisher and in the treatment of hypokalaemia
● Potassium is involved in numerous enzymatic reactions, in nerve conduction, muscle contraction, and carbohydrate metabolism.
