Zinc oxide (ZnO) is an inorganic compound, typically a white powder, that is water-insoluble.

Food Industry ● ZnO is used as a zinc supplement in many foods, including breakfast cereals.
Personal Care Industry ● ZnO is a key ingredient in sunscreens due to its ability to absorb and scatter both UVA and UVB rays, providing broad-spectrum protection against sun damage.
● It's also used in various cosmetic products, such as lotions, creams, and makeup, for its skin-protective and opacifying properties.
Pharmaceutical Industry ● Zinc oxide is used in many pharmaceutical products, including creams, ointments, powders, bandages, and pastes. It's also used in cosmetics and personal care products.
Agriculture ● Zinc fertilizers, including zinc oxide, can be broadcast and incorporated into the soil before planting.
